Brazil is currently the third largest consumer market in the world for cosmetics, toiletries and fragrances (CT&F), with total sales in this segment worth USD 42 billion in 2012. Details of Brazil’s thriving beauty care industry were revealed during a special event organised today (Sunday, April 21, 2013) by the Middle East office of Apex-Brasil (Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency) and ABIHPEC (Brazilian Association of the Cosmetics, Toiletry and Fragrance Industry) through Beautycare Brazil (Project of Internationalization of the Cosmetics, Toiletries and Fragrances Industries) at the Capital Club in Dubai International Financial Centre, Dubai, UAE. The event, which was attended by several senior officials from ABIHPEC and Apex-Brasil, highlighted key factors that were driving the strong growth of Brazil’s beauty market, including the steady economic growth of the country, the increasing number of women in the workforce, and the excellent pace of growth of Brazil’s retail channels. The plans of Brazilian cosmetics and beauty care companies to target the potential of the Middle Eastern markets were also revealed during the event. End
