WESTERN SPRINGS, Ill. - April 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Western Springs’ House Walk returns

Sunday, May 19, 2013, 11am-5pm

The Western Springs Historical Society Fundraiser presents one-day-only tours inside a sampling of six of the town’s homes.

WESTERN SPRINGS, April 18, 2013 — The Western Springs Historical Society (http://www.westernspringshistory.org) House Walk fundraiser returns to the Chicago suburb Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.

This year’s theme is Elegant by Design. This idea will be explored in six homes featuring diverse architectural styles. Homes on the tour include a Victorian, a remodeled 60’s Ranch, a Frank Lloyd Wright inspired home with a modern West Coast vibe, and two homes featuring collections of Americana and European antiques respectively.

Tickets for the biennial event are available online at http://www.westernspringshistory.org for $30/person before May 19 and $35/person the day of the event. Additionally tickets can be purchased in-store at these select locations:

All proceeds from the event benefit the Western Springs Historical Society, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to instilling an appreciation of the village’s history (http://wsprings.com) in residents of all ages. Proceeds from the event will fund the Society’s operating budget, as well as help develop exhibits for the Ekdahl House and the Tower Museum, and provide programs and archival materials for residents.
