MALIBU, Calif. - April 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Sleepy Brown, founding member of world famous hip hop group The Dungeon Family, and award winning producer of legendary Atlanta production trio Organized Noize, released a new single on Tuesday, April 16th titled "NYOEAR" featuring Darryl White, son of R&B music legend Barry White.

The newly released single is available on the Atlanta crooner’s new label 13 Black Music; and distributed digitally through the following online retailers: iTunes Worldwide, Amazon MP3, Google Play, Rdio, Deezer, Xbox Music, Rhapsody, eMusic,  simfy, Muve Music, MySpace Music, iHeartRadio, Nokia, MediaNet, and VerveLife.

Sleepy is one-third of the successful Atlanta-based production team of Organized Noize, which has created hits for acts such as OutKast, Goodie Mob, and TLC. TLC's "Waterfalls", penned by Brown and Organized Noize's Rico Wade and Ray Murray, was a #1 hit single on Billboards hot 100 in the summer of 1995.

Currently Brown is featured on Big Boi’s album “Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors” released on Island-Def Jam, on tracks “The Thickets” and “Apple of My Eye”.

Besides his production work, Brown also records as an artist himself, both for his own recordings (including his 2004 single "I Can't Wait" from the Barbershop 2 soundtrack Back in Business, and on songs with collaborators such as Beyoncé and Big Boi (on the latter's US #1 and UK #7 hit "The Way You Move").

Brown independently released his debut Solo album, Sleepy's Theme - The Vinyl Room in 1998,  and released his second album, Mr. Brown on October 3, 2006 on Big Boi's label Purple Ribbon distributed by Virgin Records.

Brown, the son of Jimmy Brown, the lead vocalist and saxophonist for the 1970s funk band Brick, developed into a multi-instrumentalist, mastering various types of synthesizers and electric pianos; however, his inclination for using samplers and drum machines always kept him rooted in hip hop.
