Navy SEAL Launches Website for New Org to Help Fellow Veterans

New Org Offers Military Vets Non-Pharmaceutical Methods To Deal with Post Traumatic Stress

SAN DIEGO - April 19, 2013 - PRLog -- What started out as a personal life's work to heal himself retired Navy SEAL Mikal Vega founded a new org, Vital Warrior, in an effort to reach out to Military Veterans and offer new, non-pharmaceutical ways to stave off they symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress.

With the high rate of Post Traumatic Stress experienced by our men and women who have served, the need is ever present. Current estimates of military personnel who return from service experiencing Combat Related Stress is at 30%. While about 7.8% of Americans will experience an episode of Post Traumatic Stress in their lifetime, the high need within the military community is the reason behind the drive of Vital Warrior's goals and formation.

Having personally suffered from a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) that went untreated for many years, Mikal Vega was also put on an assortment of drugs that merely masked the problem and in some cases, didn't even work.

Frustrated with his treatment or lack thereof, Mikal set out to find his own remedies. Starting out with Yoga, Mikal slowly, he began to open himself up to other treatment methods that later became a part of Vital Warrior’s 8-step (http://vitalwarrior.org/the-program/) program.

With its 8 modalities (steps or methods) of treatment, Vital Warrior offers a completely drug-free alternative to our Military Vets looking for something new and better for you.

Vital Warrior (http://www.vitalwarrior.org) launched its website in Mid-March and has been well-received by the several businesses in various communities throughout the U.S. and donations were immediately offered upon hearing of Vital Warrior’s goals and purpose. A Vital Warrior tour bus as well as actual facilities throughout the U.S. is the dream we have for our military men and women in need.

The website itself allows for donors to read about Vital Warrior goals are for reaching out to our Veterans. Making donations (http://vitalwarrior.org/donate-now/) online is easy and each member is featured under a specific donation level.

The need is great and with that the support needs to be greater. Monetary donations as well as donated services are needed throughout the country to reach out to as many people as possible.
