Follow on Google News | RWM Announces Collaboration to Bring R3 Women’s Conference to Houston, TXDr. Rick Wallace and RWM has announced a collaborative effort to bring the R3 Women’s Conference to Houston, TX.
Based on an explanation by Dr. Wallace, R3 stands for Revived, Restored, and Reinstated. He says that there has never been a time in which women were more in need of a movement. He is quick to point out that this conference in not a typical motivational seminar, but refers to it as a movement of empowerment. He credits the many leaders that stepped up and did their part to bring this vision to fruition. As a part of the official announcement, Dr. Wallace released the following statement. “I don’t think that there has ever been a time when women were so despondent and desperate in the way that they are at this point in time. They are defeated and devastated as they press to find some relief from the pressures and burdens of a life that has produced far less than its design demanded. R3 brings a message of hope. It presents an opportunity for women to become acquainted with their design and purpose. I want to take the time to thank those who have come together to make sure that this event is a success. Terri Johnson of Its Personal Enterprises, came to me 6 weeks ago and said, “Rick, we have got to bring that message to the women in Houston.” I told her that we should go for it and trust God to open the doors that have to be opened. Since that point she has labored tirelessly against some rather stern resistance to do as much as she could to make this a reality. There is Trinelle Thomas of Nitty Gritty Entertainment who has lent her expertise in event planning and in the communications industry to make the planning process run smoother. Minister Claude Lewis of East Discipleship Ministries has been an immense help, outside of agreeing to bring his wisdom to the table through participating in the event, he stepped up to help in the search for a venue when the original venue manager backed out on us. I would like to thank Sis. Gee Carvin for agreeing to speak on such short notice, and Sis. Natasha Buckner for agreeing to participate in the panel discussion. I would also like to thank Rev. Troy Williams who, without wavering, stepped up and offered his space for the event. This has truly been a collaborative effort. Without the obedient spirit within these individuals the enemy may very well be celebrating a victory here. I praise God for his movement in this process. Know this, R3 will change lives.” The R3 Women’s Conference will take place on Saturday, April 27, 2013 beginning at 4:00 pm. It will be held at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church on 1311 Holman, Houston, TX 75204. End
