April 17, 2013 - PRLog -- (CLEARWATER, Fla.) – Twenty-four of PODS’® elite drivers from across the country recently traveled to the Florida State Fairgrounds to compete in the third annual PODS® Truck Driving Championship on March 2.

During the competition, the highly-skilled drivers competed in events that are critical to providing great customer service, which included performing complicated deliveries, a written exam, navigating through an obstacle course and a challenge to maneuver PODS® containers into tight spaces using PODS’ patented PODzilla® lift system.

At the end of the day, Jason Juveland, a driver from PODS® of Medford, was victorious. Juveland, who has worked as a PODS driver for seven years, was awarded the prestigious PODS Truck Driving Championship trophy and, more importantly, company bragging rights.

“This was a fun and extremely challenging event. I'm very happy to have won this award and demonstrate the skill level that PODS drives us to achieve,” Juveland said. “All of us drivers at PODS work hard and we take pride in providing exceptional moving and storage services to our customers. It was great to see other drivers from all over the country being recognized as a valuable part of PODS."

Juveland’s boss, PODS® of Portland General Manager Darryl Wright, said Jason is an outstanding employee and is very proud of his win.

"Having someone with Jason's experience and knowledge of PODS is a huge benefit to the Portland area as well as the company,” said Darryl Wright, general manager of PODS of Portland. “Many of Jason’s fellow competitors at the event told me that they were glad to see him win the championship."
