Senior Pro Am Tournament Raises Big Bucks to Fight Chronic Pain

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - April 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Message from Tournament Director Tom Eubank:

I want to thank you all for your participation in the Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants Pro-am on Monday at TPC of Eagle Trace.  I think everyone agreed that it was a great day, lots of fun and a huge success for charity.

The golf course was in its best condition in months and everyone enjoyed it.  The food was outstanding and the fellowship and business camaraderie was great.  We even had the weather cooperate with us almost completely:-)

This year we had over 17 players that have been members of a major world tour in the past and 6 players in the field that have won one or more events on these tours.  Danny Edwards and Blaine McCallister have both won 6 times on the PGA Tour, and Barry Lane and Marc Farry are multiple winners on both the European Tour and Senior Tour.  All in all as the tournament grows the level of players with a Tour pedigree continues to grow as well.

Now for the most important reason we run these events.  Charitable dollars raised.  It does not matter what level of sponsorship, if you brought a team or if it was a direct donation; we simply could not have done it without your generous support of this event. We just finished the tournament budget and this year we raised $18,800 so far...... with other donations likely in the next couple of weeks.  It is important to get a grasp on the growth of this event as well.

In 2011 we raised approx. $4,500 for charity and in 2012 Dr. Ira Fox took on the title sponsor role with Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants and we raised approx. $9500 for the WIP Foundation in 2012.  One year later we just about doubled the amount we raised last year and with the upcoming donations expected I believe will surpass that soon.

Many people helped us spread the word about this tournament and our charity but I wanted to say a special thank you to Homer Zulaica who was responsible for getting four companies involved including two of our Silver Sponsors. QMedRx, Assure Rx, DNA Medsafe, and Access WCP.  

Homer, your support was truly over the top and we thank you as we thank everyone for their support and generosity.  Sometimes in a slightly tougher economy we fail to realize just how blessed we are in life but that is obviously not a problem each and every one of you do not have.  THANK YOU, and I look forward to sending you future updates on the money raised and a 2014 tournament prospectus this Fall.
