Follow on Google News | Grants Help Support Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer CountyHundreds of homebound elderly and disabled residents of Mercer County will benefit from recent grants to Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County (ICGMC).
By: Interfaith Caregivers/Diane Blaszka ICGMC Executive Director Jane Latini states, “Our caregiving mission could not be realized without hundreds of volunteers and community supporters, such as the F.I.S.H. Foundation, Inc, Roma Bank and New Jersey Foundation for Aging. The Mercer County Office on Aging is also a key and longtime supporter. Our volunteers and donors provide us with the energy and fuel to spread human kindness and care to some of our area’s most vulnerable citizens. They are a true blessing.” Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County is a volunteer-powered nonprofit organization that serves hundreds of homebound elderly and people with disabilities throughout the County each year. In 2012 alone, ICGMC volunteers from more than 25 interdenominational churches provided 11,821 hours of free caregiving services – an 8 percent increase over 2011 – to 319 Mercer County seniors and people with disabilities.
