Two Leaders in Houston’s Business Community Join Forces to Commemorate a Successful First Year

HOUSTON - April 16, 2013 - PRLog -- HOUSTON- April 2013 – Steve Levine, President of Legacy Publishing Group, LLC and Executive Publisher of Small Business Today Magazine, along with Dirk Cummins, National President of Main Street Chamber and host of the radio show, Networking on Main Street, will host first anniversary event May 2, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Bayou City Event Center, 9401 Knight Road.  The event is free and is open to the public.

Both entities will celebrate an extremely successful first year in Houston. Hank Moore, Futurist, Corporate Strategist and Author, will emcee the evening’s event. Both Main Street Chamber and Small Business Today are business organizations that focus their marketing and business development efforts on the success of the small business community through education and by bringing these businesses together.

Steve Levine states that he will focus his celebratory efforts on those business leaders who have made his first year a success. He will specifically honor those individuals and business owners who made the cover of Small Business Today Magazine. These recognizable names include such Houston celebrities as Farouk Shami, Chi™; whose picture was on the cover of the premier edition in April 2012; Hank Moore, Futurist and Corporate Strategist, and the cover of the May issue; Phil Moralbito, Pierpont Communications and the June cover; Jerry Brougher, Forge USA, June edition; Kathie Edwards, Westpark Communications and the July cover, along with the others whom Steve will recognize at the event.

Dirk Cummins will also honor and recognize those community leaders who have been vital components in making the launch and first year of Main Street Chamber’s Houston chapter a success. Houston locations of Main Street Chamber now include Houston, Katy, and Clear Lake. Presidents of the local chapters of this national Chamber of Commerce are Russell Johns, Houston Chapter, Tony Gambone, Katy Chapter, and Bertrand McHenry, Clear Lake/League City Chapter. Future Houston area chapters include The Woodlands and Sugar Land.
