Follow on Google News | Storage Village Beautifies N. Bethesda in Celebration of Community ServiceStorage Village Self Storage brings the community together in support of the arts and community service.
By: Storage Village Self Storage Storage Village opened their gates and their building to local artists who transformed Storage Village’s storefront into a bright and beautiful celebration of community service. Incredible talent from across the DC Metro area came together for this event, including Eric B. Ricks, painter of the renowned Ben's Chili Bowl Mural, "The Alchemy of Ben Ali". In this one-day event, the building’s exterior storage doors became the artists’ canvases. Each door was painted by a different artist, with their creative expression of “community service.” Storage Village is proud to bring more large scale publicly visible art into Montgomery County. The company hopes these paintings will continue to inspire creativity and volunteerism for generations. “By supporting art within the community, individuals are encouraged to think creatively and share their ideas.” - JoAnna Goldberg, Director of Marketing, Storage Village Self Storage Participants came throughout the day to witness the artists’ process. Each participant had the opportunity to share their creative vision by contributing to a collaborative community service mural. Village Illuminated additionally met the immediate needs of the community by requesting all attendees donate three cans of food. The Village Illuminated food drive collected over 35 pounds of food, benefitting Manna. Storage Village, a leading self-storage company in Maryland and Virginia, is dedicated to supporting the neighborhoods they serve. They furthermore support the arts in their community through volunteering for arts non-profits and by donating storage space to local arts organizations. Storage Village is proud to be an active member in their community. They invite anyone in need of storage space, or interested in seeing the murals, to visit their facility.
