Opening the event we are honoured to present Frank Wouters, the Deputy Director General of IRENA, who will be providing his insight into this exciting region.

Following on from this, hear from the top three forces in Moroccan solar development:

·         Abderrahim El Hafidi, Director of Electricity and Renewable Energy, Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water and Environment, Morocco

·         Mustapha Bakkoury, President, MASEN, Morocco

·         Taoufik Laabi, Director of Strategies and Planning, Office National de l'Electricite, Morocco

Mr El Hafidi will join Mr Bakkoury and Mr Laabi in a review of the current landscape of the solar markets in Morocco before moving on to discussing what the crucial next steps are to hit the 2020 targets.

And finally, presiding over the morning we are thrilled to welcome Tom Riley, a Senior Adviser on International Development at BrightSource Energy, and the former US Ambassador to Morocco (2004-2009).  Tom brings a wealth of experience to the morning and will ensure the key questions are addressed.
