The State Theatre presents The Complete World of Sports (abridged) Sunday, April 21 at 8 p.m. The Complete World of Sports is a spoof on the sports world done by the Reduced Shakespeare Company that is sure to be an hysterical evening that sprints through the world of sports at record-breaking speed. The show takes you from the earliest cavemen playing “Neanderthal in the Middle” to your own kid’s soccer practice, the history of athletic competition is regurgitated in a Tour de France of physical theater. This show is perfect for people who are mourning the end of the hockey and basketball seasons or are looking for a unique date night. For our music buffs, The State Theatre presents Jake Shimabukuro Wednesday, April 24 at 8 p.m. Ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro has taken the four-string, two-octave instrument to a new level, performing music that ranges from jazz, blues and rock to blue grass, classical and folk. Capping off the week, The State Theatre presents Moms Let Loose Saturday, April 27 at 8 p.m. Moms Let Loose is a comedy geared towards women and represents the perfect ladies night out. The show stars Sherry Davey, the British comedian of the nationally best-selling theatrical hit Mama’s Night Out, and television’s Comedy Central and Nick at Nite’s Search for the Funniest Mom in America.
