PTC Carousels Earns National Book Award For The Connecticut Press

MONROE, Conn. - April 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Beverly Hills, CA – The Beverly Hills Book Awards (BHBA) announced on April 15 that PTC Carousels: The History of Philadelphia Toboggan Company Carousels (2012), by Richard A. Gardner and published by The Connecticut Press of Monroe, CT, has been named the top award-winner for History and Coffee Table books.  The award is another in a growing list of accolades for what is being called the best book ever written on this venerable Philadelphia-based amusement company.

According to BHBA spokesperson Fred Klein, former vice president of Bantam Books, the awards celebrate excellence in presentation, from cover and interior design, promotional text, aesthetic components, and other factors that demonstrate outstanding presentation, in addition to the writing.
