Houses Gettin' Sold!: D.C. Area Realtor Explains Spring Housing Market in Sexy YouTube Rap Video

By: RE/MAX Allegiance
ARLINGTON, Va. - April 14, 2013 - PRLog -- The real estate market's heating up all around the country and especially in the D.C. and Northern Virginia area where there's barely more than one month's inventory of homes for sale. Weekend open houses from Dupont Circle to Falls Church are flooded with buyers and condos, townhouses, and single family houses are selling within weeks and in many cases days. Talk to any local real estate agent and they will tell you about the low inventory and the struggles their buyers are having competing for homes in multiple offer bidding wars. The cover of April's Washingtonian Magazine proclaims "Sold! Real Estate is Back!" One local RE/MAX broker has seized the opportunity to discuss local market conditions by producing and posting a creative, fun, and sexy YouTube video "Houses Gettin' Sold!" available online at http://youtu.be/TWyO7aX5IFg

Brian Block, Managing Broker of RE/MAX Allegiance offices in Arlington and McLean, Virginia decided to convey the state of the real estate market through an engaging video he shot and posted on his YouTube channel and Facebook. Filmed throughout various locales in Northern Virginia, this playful rap video also features Mr. Block's professional dancer wife Deborah in numerous scenes. "Market's heating up... it's no longer cold. Northern Virginia real estate... House's getting sold!" Block raps in the opening scene. In its first few days of release the video has already received hundreds of views and dozens of comments. The Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS reposted Block's video on their Facebook page as an example of creative agent marketing.

Asked about the video, Block remarked "I've seen many Northern Virginia homes sell in just days at or above listing price. Last month I sold a condo in Ballston in just 2 days with 5 offers after 16 agents viewed the property the day after it went on the market. There's so little inventory." As the real estate recovery continues throughout the region, buyers and agents alike hope more homes will be available soon because as Block says in the video, right now "Nothing's on the market, 'cuz everything is sold!"

Brian Block is the Managing Broker of RE/MAX Allegiance offices in Arlington and McLean, Virginia and licensed to sell real estate in Virginia and Washington D.C. He's been featured in The Washington Post, Washingtonian Magazine, The Washington Times, Northern Virginia Magazine and appeared on television on the Neil Cavuto Show on Fox Business News, the CBS Early Show, and local Fox News. RE/MAX Allegiance is one of the top-selling RE/MAX companies in the world with 500 agents throughout Virginia, Maryland, and D.C., selling over $2.1 Billion worth of real estate in 2012.
