ATLANTA - April 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Every day a new story breaks with allegations of a predator sexually violating a child.  It seems society can see and read about these cases without becoming outraged.The latest on Mail Online reports the story of Daniel Reilly. The married teacher is charged with raping a 14-year old student over a seven-month period. Reilly, who faces statutory rape charges, is said to have given the girl a code-name to use so that her parents would not discover the affair, while he used another code for her so his wife Annemarie would remain in the dark.

The Innocence Revolution has launched its global initiative to end child sexual abuse and will be partnering with organizations worldwide to hold awareness and prevention events.  The Innocence Revolution understands that we are stronger together than we are apart.  Events will be held on April 14th in over 30 states and 30 countries and represent a wide range of activities to attract and entertain local communities, while delivering the important messages of awareness and prevention of child sexual abuse.  With a 4 x 4 truck show in Australia, road races in DC and Florida and an outdoor music festival in India with a clothing drive to clothe naked children in the streets, there will be plenty of opportunity to make an impact and allow some outrage to be heard. Pakistan, Italy, Iceland, Ghana and Nigeria are among the countries joining in.  

For this inaugural event, Tanzania has plans for trumpets to blow for 1/2 hour atop a mountain whose name means 'beautiful rock'. New York City will be hosting a Family Day of Awareness at the Cherry Esplanade in Carl Schurz Park at 86th Street and East End Avenue from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on April 14th.  The event will provide visibility and education about child sexual abuse prevention for adults and family fun with face painting and craft projects for the children.  Prosecutor, author and Co-founder of The Innocence Revolution, Jill Starishevsky, will be on hand for the event.

The Innocence Revolution seeks to raise the veil of secrecy associated with child sexual abuse around the world, so that predators face justice, victims can get the necessary help and support and, most importantly, children can be protected from that first sexual assault.  Hopefully, the next Google search will have a few less zeroes.
