Pike Central Farm Market Returns For Spring

Market Brings Fresh Produce, Meats, Dairy, Seafood, and Baked Goods to The Future Site of Pike & Rose Beginning April 13

ROCKVILLE, Md. - April 11, 2013 - PRLog -- As the Washington area begins to see warmer temperatures and greener surroundings, the Pike Central Farm Market (11806 Rockville Pike) will reopen beginning on Saturday, April 13. Pike Central Farm Market is the region's leading market for fresh produce, meats, dairy, seafood, and baked goods and will be open every Saturday from 9am – 2pm. Located on the future site of Pike & Rose (http://www.pikeandrose.com), the Pike Central Farm Market debuted in June 2012 and quickly became a community staple for those living and working in the White Flint District.

Vendors are regionally based - from Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania - and include All Things Olive, Betty's Chips and Salsa, Just Peachy Organics, Oh! Pickles, Vernon's Seafood, and more than two dozen others.

The Pike & Rose community, which is currently under construction, will be located amidst a carefully orchestrated environment of open plaza parks, creative common areas, events, street festivals, outdoor markets, music and more. Shoppers, guests and patrons alike will walk, shop, eat, live and work in an experience designed for them. From one of the first rooftop garden plots for rent in the county to a new path of streets lined with a mix of the area's most vibrant shops, eateries and entertainment, Pike & Rose will be the area's must-experience destination.

“One of the main objectives of Federal when planning and developing Pike & Rose was to build a new enduring neighborhood for the surrounding community,” said Evan Goldman, vice president of development for Federal Realty Investment Trust. “The farm market is one piece of that puzzle, and their successful launch last year is proof that the demand exists for the type of amenities Federal provides. We are so excited they are returning again in 2013.”

The Pike Central Farm Market will be open every Saturday from April 13 through November.  To learn more about the Pike Central Farm Market, Pike & Rose, or to speak with Evan Goldman, please contact Nick Massella, 301.229.6770, nick@brandlinkdc.com.
