Milwaukee, Wis.
(April 11, 2013) – Milwaukee area hard-rockers Spiral Trance, along with 2013 WAMI-nominated violinist Kimberly Unger Onstad, are set to release a stunning new interpretation of their 2009 album All In Due Time in the form of a three song acoustic EP. The new All In Due Time Acoustic EP features a selection of songs beautifully re-imagined for acoustic guitar and violin. The album will be available to download through RockIt Records & Recording on Friday, April 12 through iTunes, Amazon MP3 and CDBaby MP3.

The All In Due Time Acoustic EP shows an entirely different side of the band never before heard in its long career. The traditional, distorted guitar tones are replaced by lush acoustic melodies, with violin and piano weaving their way seamlessly into the sonic landscape.

“We consciously try to out-do ourselves with every release and have always wanted to do an acoustic project like this,” said Paul Karcz, lead singer and guitarist for the band. “To strip these songs down to bare bones and basically re-write them was a real challenge, but it’s something we’re very proud of.”

The title track, All In Due Time, features a breathtaking performance by violinist Kimberly Unger Onstad of Irish rockers Riley and country trio The Whiskeybelles, the latter of which is nominated for two 2013 Wisconsin Area Music Industry Awards (WAMI) for Americana/Bluegrass Artist Of The Year and Album Of The Year. The EP comprises of two versions of the song, one with the haunting vocals of leading man Paul Karcz and the other an instrumental, where the violin and piano arrangements take center stage.

Retooled with a decisive Alice in Chains inspired twist, the EP's remaining song, Answer To Self, features a more gritty and raw sound when compared to the melodious lead-off track. Its brooding verses and hook-infused choruses transition perfectly into the acoustic realm. The resulting sound is altogether more visceral than the original distorted version, all the while maintaining the aggressive quality of its predecessor.

The release of the All In Due Time Acoustic EP coincides with the band's most recent Wisconsin Area Music Industry Award nomination for Hard Rock Artist Of The Year. Since 2006, Spiral Trance has earned five nominations and three wins, including Song Of The Year and two awards for Hard Rock Artist Of The Year. Currently, the band is preparing to record their next full-length album, scheduled for release in fall of 2013.

“Freedom from convention, music with intention.” This has been the motto for Spiral Trance since day one. It is this very motto that has set the indie-metal quartet at the forefront of its peers. Without regard for any one specific genre, Spiral Trance has seamlessly carved out a niche for itself by introducing a progressive, indie element to the modern, hard rock world.
