HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - April 15, 2013 - PRLog -- On April 11, 2013, Millennium Hyundai commented on a Global Post article, regarding news from overseas that the Hyundai Accent has become the number two best-selling car in Russia as Hyundai sales flourish.

According to the Global Post article (http://www.globalpost.com/dispatch/news/asianet/130410/hyundais-accent-becomes-no-2-best-selling-car-russia), “South Korea's largest automaker Hyundai Motor Co.'s subcompact Accent became the second best-selling car in Russia in the first three months of this year, data showed Wednesday.” The article states 25,388 units of the Hyundai Accent, which is known as the Solaris in Russia, between January and March.

The article states that the best-selling car was the Lada Granta by Russian carmaker AvtoVAZ, who sold 37,169 units of the car. The article also explains that Hyundai is right up there in sales by stating that, “The combined market share of Hyundai and Kia accounted for 13.4 percent in Russia during the cited period, compared with 13.1 percent in 2012.”

The article mentioned that Hyundai Motors, along with its smaller affiliate Kia Motors, is the fifth largest automaker in the world today, and proving that they have come a long way since their start in the 80’s.
