New Thought Class on Hebrew Scriptures Begins April 14 in Teaneck

TEANECK, N.J. - April 10, 2013 - PRLog -- TEANECK, NJ -- Unity Church of Christ on Rutland Avenue, Teaneck, will offer a one-week intensive study of the Hebrew Sriptures from the New Thought perspective beginning Sunday April 14, 2013 at 1 p.m.

         The course, “Bible Interpretation - Hebrew Scriptures,”will be taught by the Dr. Rev. Bessie Duncan, and will provides an introduction to the Old Testament from the metaphysical perspective of the Unity School of Practical Christianity.

         The course is open to the public and will be held April 14 from 1-3 p.m., April 17 from 7:30-9:30 p.m., April 19 from 7-9 p.m. and April 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the chruch, located at 735 Rutland Avenue, Teaneck, NJ.  The cost is $40 and $70 for students who wish to receive credit from Unity’s Spiritual Education and Enrichment Program.  Interested students should contact the church office at (201) 836-6122 or visit http://www.unityteaneck.org.

         “The teachnings of the Hebrew Scriptures guide and inform Practical Christianity.  They were the foundation of the metaphysical teachings that we find in the gospels and ministry of Jesus ,”explained Dr. Duncan.  “This course will provide an opportunity for students to understand the Old Testament in a an entirely different way, and to apply its principles in their daily lives for greater peace and prosperity.”

         The texts for the course are the Metaphysical Bible Dictionary and The Revealing Word by Charles Filmore.  They will be available for purchase in the Church’s bookstore.  Students should also bring their own Bible.
