Atlanta-based Church uses Easter Observation to Inspire Community with Outreach Event

SMYRNA, Ga. - April 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Impact Worship Center (http://www.impactwc.org/) in Smyrna, Georgia used the observance of Easter,one of the most important fêtes of the Christian community, celebrating the resurrection of Christ to tangibly give "Hope" and "Help" to individuals in need. "Hope Sunday" occurred during their 10am worship and learning experience on Easter Sunday with an invitation to the surrounding community to join in the worship experience and express any outstanding financial needs.  The following Sunday, April 7th, was billed as "HELP Sunday.   Families that had any financial need with their mortgage or rent, electricity, gas, heating, water and grocery bills were assisted.  Over 10 families were assisted with various needs including rent, mortgage, credit repair consultation and employment counseling.  With nearly 300 in attendance, the event culminated in the church parking area with food stations that boasted ribs, baked chicken, hot dogs and heavy fixings.

Led by the young and innovative Pastor Dr. Arthur Jones, he shares, "We understand that in these times there are many people recovering from economic trauma trying to get back to a stable place." He continues, "We believe in tangibly touching the communities around us and this was our opportunity to provide hope  and inspire hearts and minds to continue in their faith knowing their situations are not dire and can be turned around."

Only three-years-old and impacting communities in substantial ways, Pastor Dr. Arthur Jones and his lovely wife, Lady Tonya are the servant-leaders of Impact Worship Center. Considered one of the fastest growing churches in Smyrna, a suburb of Atlanta, Impact Worship Center leads with a modern-day message and ministry approach. If we can inspire hope and lend a helping hand to at least one receptive individual, outreach efforts of this nature are worthy of our attention".
