NY Hyundai Dealer, Millennium Hyundai, Responds to Hyundai’s Personal Transportation Concept

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. - April 10, 2013 - PRLog -- On April 10, 2013, Millennium Hyundai commented on an Auto World News article by Matt Mercuro, regarding Hyundai showing off its personal transportation concept vehicle, which takes the shape of an egg, at the Seoul Auto Show.

According to the World Auto News article (http://www.autoworldnews.com/articles/3659/20130410/hyundai-unveils-e4u-moveable-egg-concept-seoul-motor-show-breaking-trending-car-news-video.htm), “Hyundai has been showing off a number of new vehicles this week at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show this week, including the all-electric E4U, a one-seater that looks more like an egg than a car.” The article states that the vehicle can move in any direction with ease, due to a rotating sphere in the front, and two supporting wheels in the back.

The article explains that, “Instead of using wheels, the E4U relies on a base hemisphere which runs on a 24 volt, 500-watt battery according to Hyundai.” According to the article, Hyundai designed this vehicle to be used for congested city transportation, where fitting into a tight parking spot would be no problem in this vehicle.

The article mentions that the E4U only tops out at 18 mph, so it is not meant for distance transportation, but local city driving instead. The article states that, “There is a chance the model could be sold in big cities like New York, but this hasn't even been discussed yet by Hyundai.”
