Royal Caribbean “Sea’s” the Need for Kids In Distress of South Florida

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. is set to beautify the Kids In Distress Campus for their 16th Annual G.I.V.E. Day
 
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - April 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Wilton Manors, Fla. (April 8, 2013) – Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. has announced more than 500 of their employees and volunteers will spend April 20th at Kids In Distress (KID) of Broward and Palm Beach counties to give the campus a make-over as part of the company’s annual G.I.V.E. Day.

G.I.V.E. which stands for “Get Involved Volunteer Everywhere,” is a community service event that brings together Royal Caribbean employees, their families, friends, vendors and business partners to assist non-profit organizations and improve the quality of life in their local communities.  The volunteers will be painting and landscaping the entire 5-acre KID campus located in Wilton Manors.

“Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. has provided Kids In Distress with the opportunity to update and beautify our whole campus,” said Mark Dhooge, President and CEO of Kids In Distress.  “Our campus provides the children we serve with a safe, fun and educational environment where they are able to play, interact and heal.  Royal Caribbean’s G.I.V.E. Day will have a significant role, impacting and changing the lives of the children who pass through our doors for many years to come.”Now in its 16th year, G.I.V.E. Day is an example of how more than 460,000 Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. employees give back to their communities around the world, by donating thousands of volunteer hours to assist their communities with neighborhood development, civic drives, environmental improvement and disaster recovery.
