Honey Girl was founded in Hawaii in 1997, when it’s first collection of Junior/Women swimwear and clothing was launched. It all started when Louisa Hoover began designing swimsuits for herself and friends to wear surfing. “The fun part was testing the suits”, remembers Louisa, who grew up on a boat in Waikiki just steps from her favorite home break “Kaisers” and knew the necessity of a good “surf suit”. Today Honey Girl can be found in over 100 of the best surf and swim shops throughout Hawaii, East Coast, West Coast, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Caribbean. Honey Girl now carries a swimwear collection for children inspired by founder, Louisa Hoover's daughter Chelsea, titled Little Honeys.

Ida Teiti was born in Tahiti, and at the age of 9 came to Hawaii as a Hanai (adopted) daughter of Don and Josie Over. For as long as she can remember, Ida walked to the beat of her own drum whenever fashion was involved. For over 20 years she has worn the colorful Polynesian pareo as her primary article of clothing. Whether as a dress, skirt or wrap-around, the bright, a flowing pareo marked her out from the crowd. Tiare Teiti dresses are individually hand cut and sewn in Hawaii, each from a hand-painted or hand-screened pareo. Tiare Teiti dresses are recognized for their exciting colors and modern designs.

“Afterschool ART's mission includes using non-traditional school times, provide professional artists for youth-at-risk students (and, as appropriate, their families) to explore diverse art forms in a creative hands-on quality experience to enhance self-awareness and self-esteem”.

Afterschool ART was founded by Dr. Bob Grossmann in 2004, after having the opportunity to be briefed by staff from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other public health agencies, when he served as a Fellow for then Secretary of Health, Donna Shalala (1995-1996). He has found that youth respond to programs that bring quality art supplies and professional artists to where the youth-at-risk live and learn. Dr. Grossmann has confirmed to speak at the 2013 Fashion Front Awards Hawaii, discussing the vitality of community support for arts education programs for Hawaii at-risk youth.
