We at the Starting From The Bottom Tour - New Jack 360 Convention is establishing a Honorary Award in behalf of deceased Chris Lighty. The Convention will be in New York City from April 16-21, 2013.  New Jack 360 is a national promoted convention that travels around the country promoting the arts and entertainment. This convention provides a reliable outlet for musical artists in the all genres of music, including but not limited to hip hop, r&b, reggae and pop disciplines to receive exposure. Everything in the entertainment community starts with the music. We will also focusing on Fashion, Designers, Stylist, Dancer, Actor's and Film Directors as part of the 360 experience.

New Jack 360 Convention, because of the sudden passing of Chris, the whole entertainment community has never had a chance to say goodbye to a leader in the management and entertainment industry with clients like Mariah Carey, Soulja Boy, 50 Cent, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Diggy Simmons. We feel instead of just sweeping the incident under the rug and not addressing the issue in our community this award will signal that we respected him and what he provided to the rising stars in the urban community. "We have lost a good man but not forgotten, One of Hip Hop All Time Greatest Executives".

This award will be presented on Saturday April 20, 7pm at the Pennsylvania Hotel in Midtown Manhattan (across from Madison Square Garden). This award is also to increase the awareness of gun control in the inner city communities. The Award will continue to be presented to young inspiring talent that have shown that they are the next movers and shakers in the music and lifestyle industries. So please make a point in your day to make it to the Pennsylvania Hotel to sign the guest book acknowledging Chris Lighty contribution to the hip hop community. There will also be additional awards present to people we believe should be honored for their contributions in the Urban Entertainment Community in New York Market. A small list is below.
