Javier Vazquez Martial Arts Seminar in Poughkeepsie, NY

LAGRANGEVILLE, N.Y. - April 8, 2013 - PRLog -- April 20th Poughkeepsie’s Precision Mixed Martial Arts will play host to a Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and mixed martial arts seminar with Javier “Showtime” Vazquez.  Javier is one of the most knowledgeable martial arts instructors in the country.  A Gracie Jiu-jitsu black belt since the mid 1990’s Javier made a name for himself as an elite competitor in both the grappling and mixed martial arts scene.  As a mixed martial artist Javier was the first ever King of the Cage lightweight champion and a veteran of both the World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) where he earned victories over reputable fighters such as former UFC world champion Jens Pulver.  As a grappling competitor Javier won the North American Abu Dhabi Trials, largely regarded as the top submission grappling tournament on the continent.

As an instructor Javier has taught at some of the world’s most heralded martial arts schools including the Gracie Academy in Torrence California.  Now Javier will share his expertise with Poughkeepsie martial artists at Precision MMA with his upcoming back attack seminar on April 20th.  This seminar is geared toward both the experienced grappler and the beginner; Javier’s teaching style ensures that the techniques are accessible to people of all skill levels.
