BARRINGTON, Ill. - April 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Mercedes-Benz vehicles are some of the finest vehicles in the entire world, and the S-Class in particular is highly regarded for the richness of its features and the comfort it offers to drivers. Mercedes-Benz dealers like Motor Werks of Barrington (http://www.motorwerksmercedes.com/index.htm) had better prepare for something exciting: the German automaker appears to have inadvertently confirmed an S-Class Hybrid prior to the 2014 edition’s official unveiling on May 15, 2013.

The unintentional reveal occurred during a media presentation in Sindelfingen, Germany, which had the purpose of showing off the user interface system to be included in the upcoming edition of the S-Class. Screenshots of the vehicle’s TFT instrument panel had images of an “E Drive” mode as well as a gauge for battery usage. It went beyond the instrument panel, though: one of the presentation’s graphics was one of the drivetrain for the 2014 S-Class, and it features an electric motor and a battery pack.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class first hit the roads in 1972, and it has continually pushed the envelope for exceptional driving dynamics and technological innovation. One of the features that’s new for the 2014 model is the removal of a traditional instrument cluster — rather, it will feature two high-resolution 12.3-inch color displays. The left screen will feature information that would otherwise be presented by traditional analog gauges, while the right screen will display information for the mBrace2™, a cloud-based infotainment system.

Occupants of the 2014 S-Class will also be able to experience active seat ventilation, heated seats, heated steering wheel, heated armrests, and even airbags in the seatbelt webbing. For maximum opulence, the seats even have a massage function with six separate programs. All of that, along with the new “thermotronic” climate control system, means that drivers and passengers alike will be able to experience a tremendous degree of comfort in the upcoming S-Class.

Motor Werks of Barrington is thrilled to learn more about the 2014 S-Class, and is proud to feature the 2013 model. Their dealership is located at 1475 S Barrington Rd (http://www.motorwerksmercedes.com/dealership/directions.htm) in Barrington, IL, and proudly serves drivers throughout the Chicago area with the latest vehicles from Mercedes-Benz.
