Probus NYC and Peralta Project Release "Wash Heights" Snapback Hat

NEW YORK - April 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Probus NYC and M. Tony Peralta of the Peralta Project are launching a collaborative piece of apparel, the “Wash Heights” snapback hat. The hat features black-on-black embroidered “WASH HTS” lettering, adjustable snapback, and faux python brim. The understated design is a tribute to the New York City uptown neighborhood of Washington Heights, where Peralta was born and Probus’s brick and mortar shop is located.

The Peralta Project was started by M. Tony Peralta in 2005 after his first group art show, and he has since released a number of t-shirts and hats that reflect his work as a graphic design artist. His apparel has been featured throughout boutiques in New York City including Probus NYC, and has been spotted on prominent figures in the fashion industry. The apparel has been especially popular in Peralta’s home neighborhood of Washington Heights. With Peralta’s roots in Washington Heights, it only made sense to collaborate with Washington Heights fashion staple Probus NYC to release the snakeskin snapback. Probus NYC plans to carry the hat in both its Washington Heights store and online. The hat is also an exclusive piece, with Peralta’s website saying, “The Peralta Project is not necessarily a brand and at this point, M. Tony Peralta has no interest in extending his t-shirts into a full collection either.”

Probus NYC will be launching the hat in the first week of April at their store in Washington Heights, Manhattan and online. A small private event will be held at APT 78 in Washington Heights to celebrate the release of the snapback.
