Pre-registration is required for this free event.

Oral, Head and Neck Cancer arises in the head or neck region, including the nasal cavity, sinuses, lips, mouth, thyroid glands, salivary glands, throat, or larynx (voice box). It is the sixth most common form of cancer in the world, with more than 100,000 cases (including thyroid cancer) diagnosed annually in the United States.

According to the National Cancer Institute, tobacco use, alcohol use, and human papilloma virus infection are important risk factors for head and neck cancers.  Signs and symptoms include a sore in mouth that does not go away, sore throat or trouble swallowing, change in voice, growth or swelling in neck. If any of these symptoms pertain to you, or if the risk factors affect your life, register for the free screening.
