New Eureka Latino Marketing Research Center Formed,Laura Ramirez Drain New Director

 
WASHINGTON - April 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Laura Ramirez Drain has been appointed as the new director of the Eureka Latino Marketing Research Center, a new division of EurekaFacts LLC. Laura brings more than 20 years of experience working with the Hispanic community in corporations and nonprofits.  Now at 52 million and representing 16.7% of the total population in the USA, Hispanics are an increasingly important population and market for organizations and private companies. With this new center, EurekaFacts brings its expertise in research methods, demographics and understanding of Hispanic audiences to equip organizations with high quality insights and information. Most consumer and public opinion surveys under-represent Hispanics in the US. Among the reasons why is that to reach and understand this audience it is necessary to examine the methods to design, field, analyze and interpret findings. “This is why EurekaFacts has committed to the effort and appointed Ms. Drain”, says EurekaFacts CEO Jorge Restrepo.

The Eureka Latino Marketing Research Center will provide culturally sensitive research in English and Spanish to help organizations better understand the diverse populations grouped under the labels of Hispanic or Latinos. We have conducted multiple studies in the several areas including: Spanish language focus groups, Spanish language surveys, Latino population data analysis, Hispanic population geo-demographic segmentation, Analysis of consumer spending, fielding of studies of Latinos and more. Ms. Drain is the founder of the Hispanic Professional Women Association (HPWA) and the Alcanzando Metas (Reaching Goals) Foundation a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization,  to foster the academic excellence of young Hispanic women.

Ms. Drain’s corporate experience includes marketing positions with Verizon Wireless, ATT and Hewlett Packard. Ms. Drain holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from Universidad Iberoamericana and a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana in Mexico. She has Associates degree in Telecommunications from ITESM. Ms. Drain is an active member of the American Marketing Association. Involved in the community, he also serves as a board member of the Virginia Latino Advisory Board (VLAB). She is an active member at the Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and is a co-founder of the Hispanic Vote Organization
