RINGGOLD, Ga. – Vincent Padgett, a Cottage Grove resident, recently published a book titled Death, Hell and the Resurrection.  

Padgett used to believe in the immortality of the soul and the torment of the wicked, until he began studying the Bible with a fresh eye and a keen desire to know the truth. Padgett began writing this book in 2005 after seeing how many people had questions about death and heaven and hell. He wanted to defend God’s character against the idea that people will burn in hell for eternity, so he devoted time to writing this book in hopes that people will understand God’s justice and mercy
