Introducing the Clock Buddies Training Tool to Generate Random Groups

April 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Suppose you are providing a training course and want to assign people to groups. You can easily do this for the first round by asking people to work with the person next to them.

Now, what if in the next exercise you want people to work with a different partner. You may want to do this to keep training exercises engaging and also switch people around. This allows everyone to interact with each other.

Doing it this way round after round becomes more complex as you need to group people in a new pattern that they have not used to work together before.

Skills Converged has now introduced a unique online tool that you can use to solve this problem and get the most from your training exercises.

To use the tool, all you need to do is to enter a list of names along with cosmetic customisation. The tool will then generate a number of disks, one for each person. You will then distribute a printout of these disks to the participant in your course.

To use, you can simply call up a particular pattern (by stating a symbol, such as “K”) and the participants can look up that symbol. The disk will then indicate which person they need to partner with. Calling a new symbol leads to a new pattern and the regroups can happen very efficiently.

The tool is particularly useful when you have many participants. You can easily use these disks in a classroom, in a conference or for a sport activity. You can provide them at the beginning of the course or event and then expect the students or participants to use them throughout.
