FIGHT NIGHT X

Winston-Salem, NC – In just a few short weeks on April 27th, Fight Night X, presented by Sharp Chiropractor, will once again feature the BEST of local and regional MMA and Boxing talent.  Talent from both the amateur and professional ranks of both genres will be on hand and the talent pool continues to grow as the Fight Night’s become more and more popular.  

The last Fight Night, Fight Night IX on February 18th, had some of the best bouts in the MMA cage as well as the Pro Boxing ring, headlined by the WBC Super Middle Weight Championship Bout that ended in a very controversial DRAW.    Many who were there feel that local hero Derek “the Lion” Edwards should have been declared the winner and WBC Super Middle Weight Champion.  That hasn’t kept Derek down as he will compete again in Fight Night X with an opponent that has yet to be announced.    

In addition to Derek, there will be a major return to the ring by local Heavyweight favorite, Earl “Chocolate Drop” Ladson.   Earl has been out of the ring for at least 3yrs and is looking forward to competing in front of the Rings of Dreams Fight Night crowd on April 27th.    While we are still on the pro boxing card, Winston Salem is proud to welcome 2012 Olympian Ytalo Perea.  Ytalo, a native of Ecuador who now resides in New York, will be making just his 2nd professional start when he visits the Twin City on April 27th.    In addition to these matches there are scheduled to be another three boxing matches for a total of six bouts.  

The night will start with the MMA/Cage fights.  If you have never seen one of these matches in person, then I suggest you make plans on attending ALL future events as this continues to be a growing entertainment segment with the competition getting better every Fight Night.   On the card scheduled to compete in the Professional portion of the MMA card are the following local favorites:  Jeff Tharington and the Hewett brothers, Keith and Kevin.   Local favorites on the MMA Amateur card are: Jeremy Kramer, John Weatherman, Eric Simm’s and a host of others with a total of twelve, yes 12, matches.   The MMA matches whether professional or amateur are definitely the most entertaining fights of the nights.  For those people sitting in the VIP tables, you get an up and close look at these matches.
