Local believers and national ministry plan Seattle city-wide outreach

reviveSEATTLE unites volunteers to “Wake up, and strengthen the things that remain...” by sharing the Truth of Jesus on Seven Hills & the Harbor.

RICHARDSON, Texas - April 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Dallas, TX, April 4, 2013 – Next week, (April 8 - 15) volunteers from across the nation will gather in Seattle, WA to reach the city with the message and love of Jesus.  Originally launched by Dallas-based Time to Revive (www.timetorevive.com), reviveSEATTLE is a non-denominational partnership effort with seven local churches, their congregations and over 100 out-of-town believers from 13 states.  The outreach seeks to unite the church in Seattle and encourage believers to share their faith in order to seek revival in Seattle and the Nation.  reviveSEATTLE is Time to Revive’s sixth citywide outreach in an effort to cover all fifty states with the message of Christ: Dallas Revival, REVIVE Santa Fe (NM), Awaken the Valley (Sedona, AZ), reviveFLINT (MI), and reviveASHEVILLE (NC).

The vision for reviveSEATTLE began in April 2012 when Seattle Times Reporter, Elizabeth Wiley, was in Asheville, NC covering the election and encountered the engageASHEVILLE team.  She wrote, “I began to think about how the concepts of engagement, community involvement, and change could be applied back in Seattle.  Any organization that motivates this many volunteers from such a wide area while also connecting an immediate community has a model worth examining” (seattletimes.com (http://blogs.seattletimes.com/uwelectioneye/2012/04/18/ke...)). This article launched us into scouting Seattle in May 2012 and numerous prep trips up until our 8 days of prayer in October 2012 in which the Lord revealed that we were there to “strengthen the things that remain” and find a host church on each of the seven hills and conduct outreach through love and good deeds.

For the eight days of reviveSEATTLE, volunteers will reach out to the community through conversation in the mornings and afternoons, focusing on the seven hills; West Seattle Hill, Beacon Hill, First Hill, Capitol Hill, Denny Hill, Queen Anne Hill, Magnolia Hill, and The Harbor.

Each day starts at 7:00 a.m. at the Seattle Center - Next 50 Plaza (http://www.seattlecenter.com/). Each morning starts at 7:00 a.m. and opens with prayer.  It is free for everyone.  We do ask that you RSVP for the outreach at reviveSEATTLE.org by clicking “Join the Team”!  Daily outreaches will be on each hill and will start at 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.  See website for daily schedule and locations.  Each day our volunteers will be served by Texas Baptist Men and Northwest Baptist Convention Mens’ teams.  Founder and CEO, Kyle Lance Martin says the event is intended to spur on the church in Seattle and beyond to prepare the nation for the return of Christ.

Monday, April 15th, our last outreach day, will end with a Celebration on the Harbor at the Waterfront Park (www.seattle.gov/parks (http://www.seattle.gov/parks/park_detail.asp?id=3973)) featuring Christian singer/songwriter, Lindsay McCaul (lindsaymccaul.com).  The concert is also free and open to the public.

Texas Baptist Men trains volunteers and coordinates efforts in providing prompt assistance to disaster victims. Texas Baptist Men has been involved in Disaster Relief in Texas and around the world since 1967. TBM provides quick response and emergency support in times of disaster.  (www.texasbaptistmen.org (http://www.texasbaptistmen.org/Ministries/DisasterRelief/tabid/126/Default.aspx))

Northwest Baptist Convention - Missions Ministry - Disaster Relief Team, whose mission is to encourage and empower the churches of the Northwest Baptist Convention toward a spiritual vitality that results in a growing Gospel witness and in the continuous planting of healthy, reproducing new churches.

Lindsay McCaul has always been keenly aware of words and their value; from her teen years pouring over the lyrics of her favorite Christian music to her college days majoring in linguistics at Moody Bible Institute to the vibrant, insightful songs she’s penned for her Reunion Records debut, If It Leads Me Back, McCaul knows the power of words (lindsaymccaul.com).

reviveSEATTLE seeks to encourage believers to embrace their relationship with Jesus Christ and to share the Truth that transforms lives in preparation for the return of Christ.  This outreach is an opportunity for believers in Christ from across the nation to join together in serving a community with a spiritual need.
