V Jordan Inc. Consultant Attends Leadership Luncheon

KENNESAW, Ga. - April 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Kennesaw, February 15, 2013 ─ Christopher Wiggins, Senior Tax Consultant at V Jordan Inc., recently attended the Cobb Young Professionals Leadership Luncheon. Cobb Young Professionals is dedicated to promoting and encouraging young, savvy, and diverse professionals in their Cobb County workplaces by holding monthly meetings where they hear speakers discuss influential topics.

The January guest speaker was Tony Britton, Senior Vice President of Institutional Banking at Community & Southern Bank. “Mr. Britton was an exceptional speaker with an amazing story and encouraging message for all who attended the luncheon,” said Wiggins. “His experiences, life lessons, and advice were enlightening and inspiring to all of us.”

Britton has been a member of the Cobb Chamber of Commerce for almost 30 years. He retired almost 3 years ago from Wachovia Bank where he was senior vice president of business banking. Going to work at Wachovia after graduating from the University of Akron, Britton worked his way up the banking business ladder. Not wishing to slow down, Britton is now working for a new Atlanta-area bank that is rapidly expanding through acquisitions of failing banks.

Growing up as a military kid, Britton followed his father around the world as he was transferred from one assignment to the next. When he was able to go to college, he took courses in accounting, finance, and business so that he could pursue his dream of becoming a manager in the banking industry. “He talked about what he considered to be the most important personal   traits that one needs to have a successful career: loyalty, professional appearance and grooming, commitment, and work/life satisfaction,” noted Wiggins. “I particularly appreciated Mr. Britton’s description of loyalty being a two-way situation; that is, between employees and their employers and employers to their employees.”
