LAUREL, Md. - April 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Laurel, MD – Black Bag Productions, based in Laurel, MD and Marie Crawford’s Bridal, based in Frederick, Maryland and Capital Yacht Charters will host “Set Sail for Love” for its next Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party™ of 2013 on Wednesday, May 15 from 7:00 to 9:00pm.

The Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party™ aboard Washington DC based Capital Yacht Charters (http://www.capitalyacht.com/) will focus on bridesmaids, maid and matrons of honor, the best man and groomsmen.  This is in essence a Party for the Bridal Party.  Brides and grooms are expected to attend; however, this will give the bridal party ideas for bachelor and bachelorette parties, bridal showers and other wedding related events in relation to the wedding day. A unique venue, Capital Yacht Charters, is an affordable alternative for weddings and other special occasions.  Based in Washington DC and National Harbor, Capital Yacht Charters has vessels for every size party and budget as well as being available year-round.  Playing host to private marriage proposals, small weddings and more and, each of the yacht captains is capable of performing legally binding wedding ceremonies, so it’s a great option for couples.

The first Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party™ of the year was held on February 20 at the Sheraton Washington North hotel in Beltsville, Maryland with the theme “Ultimate Tiffany.”  The event featured linens courtesy of Select Event Rentals, music by Seward Park Tech, lighting by Breasia Studios, tabletops by Glamour and Glitz Events LLC, photography of the event by Patricia McDougall's Photos, and was broadcast live on Blog Talk Radio by Black Bag Productions. Vendors also provided fabulous raffle prizes for attendees included a cruise aboard Capital Yacht Charters, an hour consultation with award winning author and nationally known wedding professional Deborah McCoy, jewelry from Stella & Dot, a $250 wardrobe prize from Jockey Person 2 Person, a “suite” weekend for two with breakfast at the Sheraton Washington North, and Tiffany crystal.  “Selecting the right theme for the first Wedding Wednesday Cocktail party was extremely important to all of us, and, we agreed Tiffany was precisely what we needed,” noted Kim Moss, owner of Black Bag Productions. “The Wedding Wednesday Happy Hours we hosted at the shop and especially the “All Things Tiffany” Saturday event this past fall were highly successful, and having several 2013 brides who adored the trademark Tiffany color and style, it was an easy decision,” says Marie Crawford, owner of Marie Crawford’s Bridal.

The hotel offered a sampling of reception and cocktail hour fare to give attendees ideas for their weddings as well as the opportunity to get special deals and gifts from participating vendors only offered during the party. “The plan that we have developed is a more relaxed atmosphere, food tasting, cocktails, prizes and wedding planning with wedding professionals that are not out to gauge their clients and deliver quality products and excellence in service,” says Moss who has already put in motion plans to take the Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party both nationally and internationally in 2014.  “This is a bridal show event like none of the ones I have attended.  When Black Bag Productions approached us with the idea, we agreed that it would be a different approach and fun for both the bride and the vendor,” says Crawford.

Moss and Crawford, both of whom are certified wedding planners, agreed that there had to be a better way for brides and vendors to connect. Both noted, “Traditional bridal shows often leave brides feeling overwhelmed, more stressed, exhausted and as if they have no control or clue about what they really want for their wedding. The Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party aims to change the paradigm by offering brides the opportunity to plan, taste, drink, shop and genuinely have fun while planning.” Moss goes on to say that the tag line of Simple. Relaxing. Fun was what they wanted brides to do when attending.

Admission for attendees is complimentary, and will feature a cash bar with a sampling of catering available aboard the yacht and each attendee will receive a special Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party™ bridal swag bag filled with coupons and other wedding related gifts.  Due to space limitations aboard the vessel, advance registration is required for vendors and attendees.  Tickets are available exclusively through Brown Paper Tickets (http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/363787).  The next Wedding Wednesday Cocktail Party will return to the Sheraton on Wednesday, June 15 from7:30-9:30pm and is themed “Hot Fun in the Summertime”
