Beacon Receives ISO 9001:2008 Certification

BEL AIR, Md. - April 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Beacon is excited to announce that the company received the coveted ISO 9001:2008 certification. ISO 9001:2008 is a quality management system recognized by organizations around the world as the benchmark for continual quality improvement.
Through ISO 9001:2008 certification, Beacon demonstrates their dedication to providing the highest quality standards and customer service to their federal government and commercial customers.  Beacon went through a rigorous external audit process that included a review of every division and department’s policies and procedures, as well as documentation of the significant activities that affect the company’s daily work and operations. To maintain their certification, and as part of their ongoing quality program, Beacon will continue to conduct regular audits by an internal team.

ISO 9001:2008 specifies a set of requirements that must be in place to have a quality management system, regardless of the organization’s size, product or service line, or public or private status. Certification to the standard is voluntary, and organizations must complete a rigorous auditing process by a third-party registrar.
