ELKHORN, Wis. - April 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Guitar Girl Magazine (http://www.GuitarGirlMag.com) has been energizing the music world for a year, but, with all they have accomplished in the first year, it seems so much longer. And there is lots more planned.

In just the first year, Guitar Girl Magazine has done dozens of artist interviews from around the world, produced videos teaching women to play guitar, and reviewed dozens of pieces of equipment. Through regular sections, including Fashion, Gear and Tips, Guitar Girl Magazine keeps their readers informed. They also covered the National Association of Music Merchants conventions in Anaheim, CA and Nashville, TN.

“I know it sounds like a cliché, but it has been a rocking year,” said Tara Low, Guitar Girl Magazine's Editor. “We seem to have gone from zero to 60 in no time. We have an amazing team, have done some awesome interviews that were legendary, and we have become an authority in the music world for female guitarists. After this first year, I cannot wait to see what's going to happen next.”

Guitar Girl Magazine has interviewed numerous accomplished artists to include Orianthi, Rory Block, Shawn Colvin, Muriel Anderson, Malina Moye, Vega (from Spain) and Sharon Aguilar. Other interviewees included Meiko, Juliet Simms, Caroline Herring, Sara Niemietz, as well as their favorite male musicians Carl Verheyen, Matthew Mayfield, Josh Damigo and Chuck Garric.

In the Gear Column, they have reviewed all kinds of equipment, ranging from amplifiers and guitar strings to mixing boards and, of course, guitars. A smart musician would never even buy a guitar pick without making sure that Guitar Girl Magazine has given it their approval.

In the Tips Column, professional musicians and coaches all help readers to learn how to do everything from control their breath while singing to getting started on guitar.

So, for Guitar Girl Magazine's First Anniversary, they are giving away a rocking gift basket of great stuff that every musician will drool over. What's in the basket? That's more secret than the next Grammy winner for Best New Artist, but it's sure to be awesome, including gifts from GuitarItUpforGirls.com, Danaomi Scents, Mick’s Picks, Guitar Hands, Pevonia, alternaVites, Hi-FiMedia.com, Henry Heller, GRLTalkBook.com and more!

Guitar Girl has assembled great writers from all over the country. LA, Philly, Atlanta and Miami are all represented, bringing readers music news from both coast-to-coast.
