Follow on Google News | Air charter association elects new chairmanThe Baltic Air Charter Association (BACA) has elected Tony Coe, owner of Aviation Complete, as its new chairman.
By: BACA The association, based at the Baltic Exchange in London, represents the interests of air charter brokers, aircraft operators, airports, aviation lawyers and others in the global air charter industry. Tony Coe has been in the aviation industry since 1973, when he joined cargo operator Tradewinds Airways as an operations officer. He has worked extensively in the Middle East and Africa as well as in the UK. In 1997 Mr Coe launched Aviation Complete Ltd, a GSA and aircraft operating agent. He has been a council member since 2009. Mr Coe says: “It is a very proud moment for me to be elected to this prestigious position within BACA. Our previous Chairman has been outstanding in leading this association forward and with the help of the Council I hope to continue this work. I look forward to the next two years assisting an industry that has many challenges ahead.” Volker Meissner has been elected Deputy Chairman. Mr Meissner started his aviation career with a commercial pilot’s licence in 1990. After several years working in Germany and Italy, he joined the offices of Continental Airlines in Gatwick. In 2004 he moved back into the business jet market and founded Aviation Charter Ltd, an ad-hoc charter broker specialist, in 2006. BACA, established in 1949, is the world’s largest network for the air charter market. It offers training and networking opportunities for members and liaises with aviation and government bodies on matters of concern to its members. It holds two highly popular lunches a year, once of which includes the annual excellence awards. End
