S. and continuously evolving as the fashion metropolis of the south, choosing the theme for the first session of The Social Workshop Series™ was literally effortless. Every year the city becomes the backdrop for more and more pop up fashion shows and week-long fashion soiree's hosting 3 major fashion events throughout the year with the largest show boasting over 120 models and 1800 guests. In the midst of the growth, Model Envy™ provides a combination of professional development and networking opportunity for those at the core of every fashion show, The Models. Teaching them how to put their best foot forward in life and career. Instead of the typical workshop or classroom, the scene for the evening will be a mix of models and fashion enthusiasts mingling and networking in a cocktail setting while taking part in instructional sessions where they will learn basic techniques to aid in the progression of their fashion and modeling careers. The evening will begin with feature expert Nina Nesbitt teaching a quick yet powerful runway skills session. The sessions aim is to teach models the importance of enhancing themselves from the inside out and totally transforming their runway performance in one night. Afterwards, guests will be encouraged to mingle amongst themselves and network with 2 other experts in beauty and fitness. Each instructor is accredited and successful in their field with over 10 years of real life and coaching experience. The workshop will also include complimentary head-shots with 5 minute touch-ups to boost portfolios, and certificates of workshop attendance for models to add to their resume. Research shows that training alone can be ineffective if not paired with practice. With that in mind guests will be will be given the chance to test their skills in the Model Envy Strut Competition™ Our featured Runway Coach, Nina Nesbitt of Industry Direct, has over 22 years of experience in the model industry of which she will share with guests during the event. Not only has she been successful in television and print campaigns, but has also graced the runway for clients like Anna Sui, Christian LaCroix, and Dennis Basso Furrier. As a full time model and talent coach, Nina helps scout, develop and market new faces to many contacts in the modeling and talent industry including those in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta and abroad.
