PRLog - April 2, 2013 - CHERRY HILL, N.J. -- PALMYRA, N.J. -- Building a relationship with your auto repair shop is one of the best ways to avoid being victimized by shoddy repair work, and knowing who to contact in case you are can help too, says Scott Santos, owner of Advantage Auto Service (http://www.advantageauto.biz)
Advantage Auto Service owner Scott Santos advises a customer.
Those are just two of the topics Santos will discuss at a free car care clinic designed especially for women, April 27 at Advantage Auto, located at 121 East Broad Street. The seminar, timed for National Car Care Month, will also cover how to change a flat tire and how to check your fluids, as well as the following topics:
The items you should always have with you in case of an emergency
The importance of proper tire inflation and how to do it
The difference between a complete job/service and cheap service – you don’t always get what you pay for
Why price should almost never be your decision maker when it comes to automotive service
How to tell a good auto shop from a bad one beforeyou leave your car
The $20,000 error most vehicle owners make
"Like most drivers, women are frequently at a loss to judge whether a repair job is done properly or not. This seminar will equip them and empower them not only the next time they have to bring their car into the shop, but in case they should run into trouble on the road,” says Santos, who’s owned Advantage Auto Service since 2001.
The clinic will also stress the benefits of regular and religious maintenance, which Santos says can’t be overstated.
“With good maintenance, your vehicle can last 10 years, and that’s potentially four or five years you won’t have a car payment,” he says. “That alone can save you $20,000 or more, yet it’s something most drivers don’t take advantage of.”
Seminar sign-in is at 8:45 a.m., and the clinic will run from 9-11 a.m., followed by Q & A. Coffee and refreshments will be served. Advance registration is recommended, as space is limited.
