TORONTO - April 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Ever wanted to sit beside a panda on a flight across the country? You might have an opportunity to do so later this month! The Toronto man behind A Sponsored Life (http://asponsoredlife.com/) launched an initiative today seeking sponsors to travel return to Vancouver – in exchange, he plans to travel in full panda costume featuring the sponsoring brand prominently displayed on his furry chest.

“Project Panda (http://asponsoredlife.com/panda/)” is a crowd funding campaign that offers different benefits for different sponsorship levels, ranging from $1 to $2000 for the Panda treatment. The idea is one that came from Bussey wanting to see his sister graduate and attend his family reunion in Vancouver at the same time, while still playing within the rules of the A Sponsored Life experiment. In order for it to happen though, he needs to raise the funds in the next 12 days!

“Everyone loves pandas and seeing one walk into the airport or onto a flight is sure to be a memorable moment for everyone flying that day. It’s something I expect will be a lot of fun and I think this unique idea will really get Canadians talking.”

Pandamonium struck a chord with Canadians last month as two giant pandas from China captured the hearts and minds of everyone across the country, including the Prime Minister, who greeted the pair on their arrival in Toronto. Zach Bussey, the creator of A Sponsored Life hopes to keep the panda love alive by adding a unique story to the mix.

“A Sponsored Life presents a lot of challenges ranging from proper nutrition, sleeping on the floor and even having clean clothes, but this is by far the biggest challenge I have attempted to solve so far.”

A Sponsored Life is a social media experiment that started on January 1st, 2013 and will run until December 31st, 2013. The year-long project hopes to garner plenty of items over the course of the year, all of which are going to be donated come year end to the Red Door Women’s Shelter, Toy Mountain, the Food Bank and throughout the year Bussey is sponsoring children through Plan Canada. Bussey removed every item from his apartment on January 1st, and will live only through what he obtains via social media– including food, clothing, entertainment, furniture etc. He documents everything on his website, a daily podcast, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube and on Google Plus.
