Infrascanner Named Finalist in 2013 Medical Design Excellence Awards

EAGLEVILLE, Pa. - April 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Eagleville, PA – Inteprod LLC, a medical device contract manufacturer, is a finalist in the 15th Annual Medical Design Excellence Awards (MDEA) competition for its work with InfraScan, a medical device company developing and commercializing its patented technology for detecting intracranial bleeding in patients with head trauma.  

The Infrascanner is a non-invasive, handheld device that uses near infrared (NIR) technology to detect bleeding in the brain.  Designed to assist first responders and emergency room personnel in identifying life threatening brain hematomas, the Infrascanner provides expedient assessment of patients, identifying patients most likely to have intracranial bleeding and facilitating lifesaving treatment.

The winners will be announced on June 19, 2013 at the awards ceremony held in conjunction with the 30th MD&M East event at the Pennsylvania Convention Center.
