Dr. Denier’s primary responsibility as a district councilor is grassroots advocacy at the state and federal government levels.

Dr. Denier’s primary responsibility as a district councilor is grassroots advocacy at the state and federal government levels. This includes scheduling meetings with local government as well as state and federal legislators, including members of the state senate and assembly and U.S. Congress, to discuss issues impacting the practice of cardiology and practical solutions to the issues. Dr. Denier is a clinical cardiologist at South Nassau Communities Hospital’s Center for Cardiovascular Health. She is board-certified in cardiology and internal medicine. Prior to joining South Nassau, Dr. Denier was in private practice in Franklin Square, NY and was also the chief of cardiology at NSLIJ Health System-Franklin Hospital. Dr. Denier is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and the Nassau Academy of Medicine and is a former member of the Congestive Heart Failure Task Force at North Shore/LIJ. She earned a B.S. degree from Long Island University-C.W. Post and obtained her medical degree from SUNY at Stony Brook School of Medicine. She completed both her residency and cardiology fellowship at Winthrop University Hospital.
