Fiction 20 Down Asks 'Where’s The Levity?' In New Album Due Out April 30

Baltimore based alt rock/hip-hop rockers Fiction 20 Down are back with a new full length album, 'Where’s The Levity?'. Set for release on April 30th, the album will prove to be the band's most eclectic effort to date.

PHILADELPHIA - April 1, 2013 - PRLog -- The Baltimore based alt rock/hip-hop quintet Fiction 20 Down have come a long way since the inception of the band in 2010. Boasting a repertoire of 2 EPs and several music videos, the band shows no signs of slowing down with the announcement of a new full length album, Where’s The Levity? and an east coast tour. Set for release on April 30th, 2013, the album will be made available as a free download to fans via the Fiction 20 Down website: http://f20d.com

Musically, Fiction 20 Down caters to a wide range of styles. Incorporating elements of alternative rock, pop, reggae, and hip-hop, Where’s The Levity? falls between Bruno Mars, Dirty Heads, and 311. The band’s unique brand of musical styling is no better exemplified than with the 1st single “Down Like Hip-Hop”. The video, directed by Rod Lopez of New Style Independent Pictures, is slated for release in early April.

Produced by lead vocalist Jordan Lally, the album is the first to feature synth and keys as well as Lally’s programming. “I will bring a song into the studio that I've sketched out on my acoustic guitar or a hiphop beat that I've put together and I will play it for the guys”, says Lally. “From there we all jam and everyone puts their unique creative stamp on it.” For this project, Lally enlisted the help of long time mentor, Drew Mazurek. Having worked with acts such as Linkin Park, Allman Brothers, and MTV, Mazurek is credited with mixing and mastering Where’s The Levity?.

Playing on the theme of “life along the road less traveled”, fans can expect an album that embodies the frustration, anxiety, love, and joy therein.  Musically, lead guitarist Wes Anderson describes the LP as an “eclectic, upbeat sound chock full of hooks... you listen once, these songs will be stuck in your head”.

About Fiction 20 Down

F20D's chief songwriter Jordan Lally leads the charge with a vocal delivery that effortlessly twists & turns between the croon of pop star & the swagger of an emcee. Drummer Dre Toney adds to F20D's vocal portfolio with soulful harmonies and a smooth, deep-set hip-hop delivery. The groove-inducing foundation of the F20D sound is laid by bassist Deejmon, while Wes Anderson adds the edge with his precise lead guitar play. “Sexy James” Hanlon rounds out the F20D sound, complimenting each of the band's varied influences with his multi-instrumental work on the keys, horns and controls. Where’s The Levity? will be the first Fiction 20 Down release to feature Wes and James.
