HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, U.K. - March 31, 2013 - PRLog -- From Covent Garden to Malta, from Milton Keynes to Rome and from St Albans to Brussels – just some of places where global market leaders Wildgoose Treasure Hunts arranged high-tech cutting edge team building challenges for over 25,000 participants in 2012.

With companies wanting to get the best out of their staff in tough economic times, many are choosing treasure hunts as part of a strategy to improve teamwork, creativity and communication. Wildgoose Treasure Hunts experienced a 40% growth in its business in 2012, with prospects for 2013 already looking to exceed last year’s success.

Wildgoose has taken the popular treasure hunt concept and added cutting edge technology to create a GPS ‘tablet’ Challenge or a self-run ‘Takeaway’ range of games that can be played in either urban or rural settings throughout the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. The company is also rapidly developing its licensing arm with licensees signed up as far afield as New Zealand.

Jonny Edser, MD of Wildgoose Treasure Hunts says “Since we launched in 2003  we’ve developed the company with the primary goal of being an innovator of unique and memorable treasure hunts. We were the first in the UK to combine eye catching design with innovative treasure hunt content and we have continued to grow year-on-year since.

“We are acknowledged as the market leaders in our industry. Our unique brand of GPS technology and self-run treasure hunts, using automated text messages, has become an integral part of what we do. We can adapt our treasure hunts to any location around the world and we are finding that our licensee business is booming too.”

Peter Barker, Wildgoose’s Operations Director continues “ The Smartphone and Tablet revolution has allowed us to raise the bar and create distinctive events that give a more interactive team building experience.

“In our fully managed events, each team receives a Samsung Galaxy tablet pre-loaded with an event individually designed for the client. It’s packed with a range of features that will engage and motivate the teams. This includes an interactive Google Maps interface showing where the team is on the map and more crucially, where the other teams are. The GPS technology tracks the team’s progress and only allows questions or challenges to be activated when they are in a particular location. No cheating and plenty of surprises!

“Teams get instant feedback with a live scoreboard which updates as the game progresses and builds competition and excitement throughout the game. Teams earn points for correct answers and receive penalties when wrong.

“ We’ll include a huge variety of intriguing clues, questions and trivia that will test the teams, get them working together and having fun. Photo and video challenges add a creative touch and will be shown during the results session where we give out awards to bring the event to a memorable finale.”

Wildgoose Treasure Hunts has worked with an impressive list of clients, including Vodafone, Accenture, Argos, the National Youth Theatre and Nestle.
