Golf events: Chervò Golf Hotel Spa & Resort San Vigilio hosted the 2013 Coaches Circle

March 29, 2013 - PRLog -- In the beautiful setting of one of the most charming Italian Golf Resorts, an outstanding golf event has taken place from the 18th to the 20th of March 2013. Chervò San Vigilio, a Golf Hotel and Resort with Spa in Pozzolengo, Italy (not far away from the Lake of Garda) has framed the 2013 Coaches Circle, event organized by PGA.

The second edition of the meeting, which is meant to educate, engage and inspire coaches from all over the world and to discuss important issues regarding the world of golf, has been characterized by an outstanding speaker lineup. Protagonist of the opening session was the president of PGA Italy, Costantino Rocca (with Tony Bennett, Director of Education & Membership for The PGAs of Europe), and other Italian personalities connected to the world of golf have taken part in the event, like Alberto Binaghi, Matteno Manassero and Chiara Milanese.

In the three days of sessions participants had the chance to attend many interesting events and to take part in discussions regarding many different topics, together with some of the most knowledgeable people in the field of golf, like Alberto Binaghi (Matteo Manassero’s coach), Timo Karvinen (National Team Coach for Switzerland), Prof. Eric Wallace (biomechanics expert), Jonathan Mannie, Susanne Wolmesjö (who held a lecture on how to improve coach effectiveness), Andy Morrison (his speech was on how coaches perceive that key technical parameters in the golf swing interact to result in a successful golf shot).

The Coaches Circle, the first edition being held last year, has already become a not to be missed event, which can help “shape the preparation of National Team players in various countries”, as Tony Bennett claimed. The 2013 edition of the event was accompanied by the 2013 Heads of Training Summit (21-22 March), and the Chervò Golf Hotel Spa & Resort framed both events. The schedule of the event also included a trip to the University of Verona, where Federico Schena (President of Sport and Science Department) talked about a learning strategy to improve motor skills. Moreover, Chiara Milanese led a practical session in the University’s Biomechanics Lab.
