March 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Marshall Barnes, R&D Eng will appear at the MarCon sci fi convention in Columbus, OH this weekend as part of his nationwide tour promoting his time machine research and competition with Dr. Ronald Mallett of the University of Connecticut. Marshall is leading Mallett, who still needs hundreds of thousands of dollars to build a working prototype to test his idea which many physicists doubt will work. Meanwhile, Marshall is now "fully funded", with enough to continue testing his Verdrehung Fan™, which is already warping space, in order to see how much power will be required to cause it to warp time and become the world's first time machine.

The competition is heating up across a number of fronts. Like politicians on the campaign trail, both contestants are scheduled to appear in each other territories with Mallett being the first by appearing in Ohio at Kent State, while Marshall is in discussions with a school in Connecticut where Mallett has recently lectured. Marshall is also in preproduction on a documentary about his Verdrehung Fan™ and is considering discussing a distribution deal with Kenya Moore's Moore Vision Media ( http://www.prlog.org/12106774-marshall-barnes-time-machin... ) as a counterpoint to Spike Lee's movie on Mallett which is currently on hold. In a recent development, Marshall is considering putting the production company behind the Mallett documentary, The World's First Time Machine, on notice that they may have to change the name if and when the Verdrehung Fan™ actually becomes a time machine, as it is expected to do so this year, approximately eight years before Mallett even has a device to test.

Tonight at & 7PM at MarCon, Marshall is slated to discuss his report to select members of the U.S. Congress on the true implications of time travel, which proves why time travel paradoxes are impossible and why physicists have proved that they don't understand time travel physics - a provocative statement that is borne out with overwhelming evidence. On Sunday at 1PM, Marshall will lecture on and demonstrate his Verdrehung Fan(TM) and explain how he plans on beating Ronald Mallett in the quest for the first time machine. A web site for the competition exists at http://www.thegreattimemachinerace.weebly.com .

This will be Marshall's 20th appearance at MarCon and his first since he won against Stephen Hawking over the odds that the Higgs Boson would be discovered.
