Follow on Google News | QuEST Global appoints Ian Stone as the new Head for UK OperationsQuEST Global Engineering, a leading pure play engineering services provider with headquarters in Singapore, today announced the appointment of Mr. Ian Stone as a new head of QuEST Global, UK Operations.
By: QuEST Global Ian has been deeply involved in building engineering teams that have supported QuEST's customers in multiple work-streams as well as across the product development lifecycle. In his new role, Ian's charter will be to build delivery excellence in the UK to support the engineering needs of Rolls-Royce, Airbus, GKN, GE and others. He will oversee our operations across Derby, Filton, Fleet, Saltney and Yeovil as well as Weston-Super- Prior to joining QuEST, Ian completed a five-year apprenticeship at Rolls-Royce while working his way up the organisation to become a Specialist Service Engineer. He then went on to become a Partner and Operations Director of a subcontracting CNC Precision Engineering Company, which focussed on manufacturing a range of components for customers in the Defence, Medical, and Underground Detection industries and several other end-users. Following this he took on the role of Engineering Manager with a medical devices OEM manufacturing Patient Handling Equipment. Here he led and managed a multi-disciplinary team of Senior Engineers, Engineers and Technicians evenly split through Design, Test/ Development, Production and Facility functions. Mr. Ajay Prabhu, COO, QuEST Global Engineering said, “I am honoured to welcome on board Ian Stone and I am sure under his able leadership the company shall achieve success and set new standards in the industry. We are extremely excited about this appointment and look forward to gaining from his rich industry experience” Ian joined QuEST in 2003 as a 'Technical Support Manager'. He then moved in to a business development role, and has been leading the Rolls-Royce relationship globally.
