New Oxford Student Housing to Offer Resort-Style Amenities

March 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Oxford, MS – College student housing in Oxford has never been so good: Scheduled to open in August, Hub at Oxford will offer the tenants of its 582 bedrooms a selection of amenities usually only enjoyed at luxury resorts.

This student housing project is currently underway and will welcome students for the Fall 2013 semester at 109 Anchorage Road. With the wide offering of luxury amenities, it will be the first student housing of its kind in Oxford. The community is owned and managed by Core Campus, a Chicago-based developer that specializes in providing top-end student accommodations around the country.

Hub at Oxford (http://hubatoxford.com/) will feature apartments for students attending the University of Mississippi that include much more than your standard dorm room. Each unit will be fully furnished with custom designed furniture, a 42-inch flat screen TV, wood-style flooring, a washer and dryer, custom kitchen and bathroom cabinetry, granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom, stainless steel appliances, walk-in closets and a private balcony. Students will also have their own private, individually keyed bedroom with a private bathroom.

Vice President of Property Operations Scott Stager said he expects the property to be at 100 percent capacity when it opens in August.  

“We see ourselves as a resort. Already, with existing leases, we are starting to be limited in what we have to offer,” Stager said.

Students at Ole Miss won’t just have luxury apartments to add to their college experience -- the community-style design incorporates amenities that cover student needs from social to fitness to academic. On the social and fitness sides, amenities include a resort-style pool with an island and multi-level peninsulas built in, a spacious hot tub, sunbathing decks, sauna, steam room, cabanas and trellises and a 2,500-sqft fitness center. A few of the other outdoor amenities include a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, a putting green, a 20-foot outdoor LED tv, and a jogging trail. Indoor entertainment includes pool, table tennis, shuffleboard, and a sport’s fan area with 6-monitor display.

The study needs of Ole Miss students have not been forgotten in this luxury Oxford student housing facility. Along with private study rooms for groups or individuals, there is also a business center, community meeting room, a community lounge and outdoor study areas with wi-fi access.

Hub at Oxford offers 12-month individual leases per student, meaning each tenant will be responsible for their rent only, with pricing starting at $519 per month. Students can also receive help finding the perfect roommate by using the roommate matching service, which uses personal profile surveys to find roommates that are compatible in their academic studies, interests and hobbies.

Core Campus also currently has projects under construction for student occupancy in 2013 at Arizona State University in Tempe and Texas State University in San Marcos. For Fall 2014, Core Campus is working on a development at the University of Arizona in Tucson and at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
