Pantry Raid in Episode 6 ‘Half Way There!’ on The Balancing Act on Lifetime TV
Jill's gone; group welcomes new contestant Brenda to Mission Makeover™ series hosted by Julie Moran
(Pompano Beach, FL- PR BUZZ – March 28, 2013) It’s the half-way point for the Mission Makeover ™ series as week 6 kicks off with the addition of the new contestant. Will she gear up and fit into the group? Make sure to tune in on Monday, April 1st at 7:00 am (ET/PT) on the health and wellness journey on the Balancing Act® on Lifetime Television to find out.
Although still reeling from the news that Jill was “let go,” the 2 remaining Mission Makeover ladies, Alexa and Blanca, meet up with the new third member of their trio:
Brenda Selner – As a 70 year old realtor on-the-go for more than 25 years, she’s ready to “go for it” to improve her health and wellness. Her goal is to remain up-to-date and competitive in her field filled with younger realtors, while lowering her blood pressure and raising her glass filled with her go-to splurge -- wine.
Brenda is thrust full throttle into her first makeover mission when nutritionist David Grotto bursts into her kitchen to raid her pantry and fridge, with Alex and Blanca joining the ranks. Hear what tips he offers the ladies to keep healthy foods at arm’s length, and for time-starved families to plan healthier meals.
Hunger Smashing Smoothies win the day when the women blend up and taste these healthy snack and meal solutions with the help of Laurie Chapman from RightSize Health & Nutrition. Packed with 15g of protein and 6g of fiber, these filling smoothies that come in delicious flavors like Lean Cocoa Bean® (chocolate) and Slend-A Berry® are a great way to help the mission makeover gals fight their war on weight.
“You can snack healthy!” Chef Nick from Domino Foods joins the show with great tips for healthier snacking and eating with Domino® Sugar Light and Stevia Blend. He’ll show the women and viewers at home an easy “Light Spiced Candied Nuts” recipe perfect for a sweet and satisfying quick pick me up.
Sleepless in slumber? Adequate sleep and managing stress are crucial to people looking to transform their bodies. Dr. Bob Marshall from Quantum Nutrition Labs sits down with the ladies to talk about supplements like liquid melatonin that help “reset the brain” for proper sleep. A stressed, sleep-deprived body cannot repair itself after exercise. Are the women interested in taking them?
The ladies are surprised with a secret weapon in Episode #7 so stayed tuned for the April 8th show airing at 7:00 am on Lifetime TV.
